How long does it take to complete a level?
The programme is entirely self-directed, so you can complete it at whatever pace you prefer. If you have ample time to dedicate to completing the learning and prepping for exams, it’s possible to complete multiple levels in a year. Typically, a learning level takes around 75–125 hours to complete and case study preparation takes an additional 25–35 hours.
What time of year can I start on FLP?
Students can start at any time. Their subscription is on the anniversary model, i.e. the 12 months clock is set when they sign up for the programme. To ensure you get the most of their subscription, we propose that you start on the following timeline. This will enable you to have enough time to fit in a re-sit if you need to, without incurring an additional subscription fee.
START DATE | EXAM DATE | RE-SIT EXAM DATE |
1-Mar-22 | Nov-22 | Feb-23 |
1-Jun-22 | Feb-23 | May-23 |
1-Sep-22 | May-23 | Aug-23 |
1-Dec-22 | Aug-23 | Nov-23 |
Can I complete two levels on a 1-year subscription and how would I do that?
Yes, you can. There will be enough exam sittings for you to be able to sit an exam and allow for a re-sit for two levels on a 1-year subscription (It's tight though).
START DATE | FIRST EXAM | RE-SIT | SECOND EXAM | RE-SIT | SUBSCRIPTION END |
1-Mar-22 | May | Aug | Nov | Feb | Feb |
1-Jun-22 | Aug | Nov | Feb | May | May |
1-Sep-22 | Nov | Feb | May | Aug | Aug |
1-Dec-22 | Feb | May | Aug | Nov | Nov |
What happens if I use all my exam credits, but have not passed yet?
A student, with an active student subscription, but no more credits can still sit for an exam, they just go to Pearson Vue and pay directly for the selected paper.
What happens if my subscription expires, but I haven't passed my case study exam yet and I still have exam tokens left?
The exam credits expire with your subscription, but if you renew your subscription, new credits are provided. You get new exam credits for the exam level that you have yet to complete on the new subscription.
If a student on a 1 year subscription, uses both credits and fails OCS twice, then renews to a new 1 year subscription, the student is able to use the new credits to re-sit the OCS two more times.
Can I use unused credits on other levels?
You cannot use unused credits on other levels. They are specific to a level.
For example, if you passed OCS on the first attempt, you do not have an exam credit for MCS.
