We are so confident that our courses will get your CIMA Qualification the first time, that you can come back for free if they don't!

IBTC students perform better. That's because no college offers more study options and no college offers more question practice.

I tried it on my own and failed twice. Then I joined IBTC and with the tutor's support I passed first time. "Solomon Williams"

Attend classes with our experienced lecturers over weekends or weeknights, or study from home and access recorded lectures online. Then make sure you get enough question practice. The truth is that up to 40% of your time should be spent practice exam-standard questions.

IBTC students perform better because they get more question practice than anybody else.

Tuition fees

When studying a CIMA course, your fees are typically split between the institute (CIMA) and the tuition provider (IBTC).
Institute fees
CIMA institute fees include the following:
  • Once-off registration fee (includes first year's subscription fee)
  • Annual subscription fee
  • Exemption fees (if applicable)
  • Exam fees

* Please note that CIMA exam fees are:

  • Non-refundable
  • Non-transferable between papers
  • Non-transferable between candidates and
  • Valid for 2 years

Please note that CIMA exam fees are due to increase from the 1 August 2019.  Beat the increase by making payment on your booking before 15 July 2019. All invoices with exam fees at the current rate will expire on the 15 July 2019.

Using IBTC to pay CIMA fees

NOTICE:  The price we’re charging for CIMA fees will increase on 1 April 2019.
We strongly recommend that you pay your CIMA fees directly to CIMA. It’s cheaper and much faster. Paying your CIMA fees via IBTC attracts unnecessary VAT and an inflated exchange rate. If you don’t have another option, though you can include your CIMA fees in your IBTC booking, and we will pay it over to CIMA on your behalf. If you include your institute fees on your IBTC invoice, select 'Pay later' when prompted for a payment method when registering on the CIMA website. You can also pay your CIMA fees directly to them via credit card or debit card.

Please ensure that you register as a student, apply for exemptions and register for your exams directly with CIMA, even if you are planning on including your CIMA institute fees in your IBTC booking.

Important information you need to know

If you opt for all / some of your fees to be paid over to CIMA through IBTC, you need to ensure we have all your correct details including your CIMA Contact ID so we can ensure your fees are allocated correctly.
We pay over CIMA fees in batches on a regular basis according to the following criteria:
Payment in full - If you have made a payment in full all of your selected CIMA fees will be paid to CIMA in the next payment batch.
Payment via payment plan - If you have made payment using our payment plan option, your CIMA registration and/or exemption fees will be paid to CIMA in the next payment batch. The remaining selected CIMA fees will be paid over to CIMA once your account is paid in full (approximately 5 months from now).
Should you require any of these fees to be paid over earlier than that you will be required to settle the remaining balance owed on your CIMA fees (not on your entire booking).
Payment of your fees

Once your CIMA fees have been processed and added to a payment batch you will receive an email stating we've made payment to CIMA. These fees will then be allocated
Please allow up to 15 working days for your payment to reflect on your MyCIMA account.

Fees are item-specific

  • This means, if you’ve paid IBTC for 1 x E1 OT fee to be paid over to CIMA, then you will be able to only book 1 x E1 OT exam with those funds. In the past your fee appeared as a general credit on your CIMA account and you can apply it to anything. It doesn’t work like that anymore.

What if the amount doesn’t reflect on your CIMA account?

  • First check if IBTC has paid over your fees. Search in your inbox for an email called ‘3rd party fees paid’ – write down the batch number. (This is the ‘proof’ that IBTC paid over your fees to CIMA.)
  • If you have an IBTC batch number and your fee is still not reflecting on your CIMA account, then it’s a ‘CIMA allocation problem’. And unfortunately we can’t query this with CIMA – you’ll have to do it*.

How to contact CIMA?

  • Contact CIMA at or 011 788 8723 without any delay to ensure that your money is allocated to the correct item (exam fee, subscription, exemption or registration fee), so that when the time comes you will be able to book and sit immediately.
  • When contacting CIMA, you will need to refer to the email that was sent to you by with the following subject “3rd Party Fees Paid” and quote the date paid as well as the batch number.

*We love to help our students with their queries, but due to the UK’s data protection act, CIMA requires students to liaise directly with them and unfortunately does not allow IBTC to liaise on your behalf.
