Who is it for?
This ESG Course gives a strong introductory understanding of key ESG issues that all employees working within Financial Services firms and business professionals generally should understand.
The course will also be useful for anyone looking to understand the way a business’s ESG strategy and data the firm produces is used by Investment management firms and commercial banks to make financing decisions.
How it Works
This is a full-day course delivered in a virtual class (like Zoom) by an expert lecturer. For corporates, this class can also be offered on-site as a face-to-face session. The course will be evaluated through in-course assessments. There will be no final examination. Success students will be awarded a global BPP certificate.

Content
This course will look at the latest thinking concerning the impact of ESG on corporate thinking. It will consider existing decision making, reporting and strategic models and tools in the light of ESG. It will also look at existing best practice within organisations where it currently exists and consider the costs of not building ESG into our business
By the end of the course, delegates will, with the aid of their notes, be able to:
- Explain the corporate implications of ESG.
- Explain the UN Sustainable Development goals.
- Apply the ESG principles to their own organisation with a particular focus on strategy development, Investment Appraisal and Management reporting.
- Explain the impact of ESG initiatives on revenue and costs.
- Apply ESG to existing tools such as Balanced and Strategic Scorecards.
Exams and sittings
This is a non-examinable course. On completion of the course and the in-course assessments, you will be awarded a global BPP certificate.
