Bursaries for 2023

CIMA, ACCA, ICB & CFA

This Way Up.

We are looking for accounting hopefuls to benefit from our special bursary programmes.

The biggest loss is not the students who don't study further, but those who do take up further studies but fail to complete. 

Students stop studying because of circumstances, finance, struggling to pass, and lack of support. Our aim is to get studying students to the end - professionally qualified and employed.

We are changing the economic landscape one student at a time.

Studying a business and finance qualification? Are you academically deserving and financially needy?

Apply now for bursaries to study any of the following qualifications. We will give preference to students who are already busy studying one of the qualification below and need financial help to complete the qualification. 

 

Benefits

  • Your bursary may include CIMA//ICB/ACCA/CFA registration, exemption, subscription and exam fees. There is no provision made for re-write fees.
  • Your bursary will include all IBTC tuition fees, which includes books, online resources, virtual classes (conducted via Zoom at set times).
  • Your bursary may include a monthly stipend (not relevant to all programmes).

Qualifying Criteria

In order to qualify as a bursary candidate, you will need to meet the following criteria;

  • Registered learners;
  • who are studying towards a professional body qualification for which IBTC has been awarded funding
  • South African citizens,
  • of any race, gender or ability (although special consideration will be given to the disabled and previously disadvantaged)
  • with a good academic track record (we're going to need proof here), and 
  • with reliable access to the internet (to view classes online and conduct online exams).

How To Apply

STEP 1: Send us your documents

Please send the following documents to [email protected] ;

  • Copy of your ID/passport
  • Qualification Certificate of your highest qualification
  • Transcript of your highest qualification
  • Exam results for any recent CIMA.ACCA.ICB exams
  • Unemployment declaration (download here), IF you are unemployed. 

 

Please use the correct subject in your email and name your documents or attachments properly, as shown below:

  1. SUBJECT OF YOUR EMAIL: IBTC Bursary 2023
  2. DOCUMENT NAMES: Name your documents correctly or your application won't be recognised by our system.

 

Use this format to name your documents:

ID NUMBER_SURNAME_NAME_INSTITUTE (e.g. 8408081234185_BUHLE_THANDO_CIMA)

Step 2: Complete the application form

Once we have recieved all of your documents, we will send you an application form to complete.

•  Please note that the above bursaries may not as yet have been awarded to IBTC by FASSET. IBTC is provisionally piquing the interest of the market, because recruitment on such a project is typically quite long.
