It's the start of the new year. What are your goals for the next 12 months and beyond? For many of us, this might include enrolling to study a qualification with the hopes of moving forward in our careers.

Choosing to invest in yourself and study further is one of the best decisions you could make, however, there are a few questions you need to ask yourself before taking the leap;

1. Is this course right for me?

You need to ensure that the course you choose is relevant to to you and your career. What are you hoping to achieve by completing this qualification? Do you want to expand your skillset, or are you doing it for the title you will earn by completing it? Does the course align with your career trajectory, and are employers in your field seeking candidates with that specific qualification?

2. Is this college right for me?

Once you’ve answered Question 1, you will need to find a tuition provider that will partner with you to help you achieve success. Be wary, there are plenty of them out there, but not all tuition providers are created equally.

You need to ensure that you sign up with an accredited tuition provider that is recognised by the professional body that issues the qualification. Completing a relevant qualification through an accredited tuition provider will ensure that you are well placed to find new employment or move up in your current organisation.

3. How will they support me during my studies?

“Will you support me?”

The answer to this question can look very different depending on who you ask. Many students have joined tuition providers with the hopes of having a knowledgeable shoulder to lean on throughout their studies, only to find that calls and emails often go unanswered once their fees have been paid.

At IBTC, we take support seriously. We provide tailored study plans that break down course content into manageable chucks. Our Course Monitors will give you regular calls to check in, get feedback on progress, and ensure that you are moving forward as planned. We also provide students with unlimited tutor support.

4. Do they have a proven track record of success?

Similarly to accreditation, you need to partner with a tuition provider that has a proven record of success. IBTC has over 16 years of experience in assisting students reach their academic goals. We see ourselves as more than tuition proivder. We are in the business of enhancing careers and enriching lives.
