Certified Data Centre Facilities Operations Specialist (EPI)
Entry requirements
No formal prerequisite, though some operations experience is advisable. DCFC or CDCP recommended beforehand.
How it Works
DC operators and solutions providers can recruit and select their own candidates, or draw from IBTC's pre-qualified database.
Each candidate is enrolled into a cohort with a set start date and guided through the programme by the IBTC support team. This includes onboarding, access to study materials and learning videos, live online classes, and the relevant online exams.

Content
Most data centre downtime comes down to human factors, not infrastructure. CDFOS, fully aligned with the DCOS standard, equips participants to run the day-to-day operations of a mission-critical facility. This course covers safety, security, maintenance, monitoring and project management.
Exams and sittings
60 multiple-choice questions, 90 minutes, closed-book. Pass mark: 42/60. Certificate valid 3 years.
