There are no formal requirements for prior experience or academic achievement. We are looking for candidates with the drive to learn and access to a learning device (laptop, desktop or tablet) and a reliable data connection.
Because the programme requires practical experience in a live data centre environment, students who are not sponsored by a data centre operator will be supported by IBTC to secure a placement.
DC operators and solutions providers can recruit and select their own candidates, or draw from IBTC's pre-qualified database.
Each candidate is enrolled into a cohort with a set start date and guided through the programme by the IBTC support team. This includes onboarding, access to study materials and learning videos, live online classes, and the relevant online exams.
Every cohort also includes a half-day data centre tour, with a video walk-through available for students who cannot attend a physical site.
This programme is designed to bring new talent into the data centre sector. We identify high-potential candidates, train them through bespoke courses developed with globally recognised certification bodies, give them real on-site internship experience with our industry partners, and then place them in jobs in the sector. In short: identify, train, expose, place.
