Entry requirements
Students with no formal academic qualifications can register to take exams at any level within Foundations in Accountancy. There is no requirement to complete the Introductory Certificate in Financial and Management Accounting or the Intermediate Certificate in Financial and Management Accounting prior to completing the Diploma in Accounting and Business, although students are strongly recommended to do so.
How it Works
You can start at any time, study from anywhere and set your own pace. Enhance your study sessions with video lectures by BPP's top lecturers, while enjoying unlimited access to your local tutor. Video lectures can be downloaded to your mobile phone and viewed offline, as often as you like. You will have access to the online resources for 6 months or up to the exam date for session-based exams. Study material is delivered to your door (or eBooks if you have selected that option).

Content
You'll develop knowledge and understanding of the underlying principles and concepts relating to Maintaining Financial Records and technical proficiency in the use of double-entry accounting techniques including the preparation of basic financial statements.
Exams and sittings
Each exam is a 2hr computer based exam (CBE). The exams are on demand and can be sat at any time at an ACCA CBE centre or taken via the ACCA Remote Exam option. CBEs are offered for Global and UK variants only.
CBEs are computer marked, so as soon as you complete your exam you will receive a result on your screen. Your result will be transferred to your myACCA account within 72 hours.
Pass Assured Guarantee
Home Study, Home Study Plus and Home Study Plus (eBooks)
To qualify: To qualify for our Pass Assured Promise, you need to have submitted 2 progress tests, 2 course exams and a mock exam and achieve 50% or higher on your mock exam. You also need to have attempted your final exam within 3 months of having received your study material.
Our promise: You receive 3 additional months of tutor support and you can submit progress tests, course exams and mock exams to your tutor for marking.
Special note: You will not receive any new study material for your subject OR No new study material will be provided.
Online Courses
To qualify for our Pass Assured Promise, you must complete and submit all the steps by the relevant submission dates and score the required pass mark on each step, before you sit your CBE, which must take place within 3 weeks of the official course completion date.
Our promise: If you are unsuccessful in your exam, you may book and commence a free online course within 3 months of having taken the relevant exam.
