The CIMA Certificate in Business Accounting does not require a formal entry qualification. Students are expected to have a good level of mathematics and English language. Certificate level subjects can be taken in any order and must all be passed before any Operational level subjects can be attempted.
This is one of the most flexible ways to study CIMA in South Africa.
You can start at any time, study from anywhere and set your own pace. Enhance your study sessions with video lectures by BPP's top lecturers, while enjoying unlimited access to your local tutor. Video lectures can be downloaded to your mobile phone and viewed offline, as often as you like. You will have access to the online resources for 6 months or up to the exam date for session-based exams. Study material is delivered to your door (or eBooks if you have selected that option).
Study at your own pace and in your own space. This means you can speed up your studies if you want to qualify quickly - no waiting for classes to begin. Or you can take it slowly if you wish.
BA2 teaches students fundamental knowledge and techniques that underpin management accounting. It identifies the position of the management accountant within organisations and the role of CIMA. The subject portrays the role of management accounting in the contexts of commercial and public sector bodies and its wider role in society.
Each exam is a 2 hour computer based assessment. BA1, BA2 and BA3 each comprise of 60 objective test questions and for BA4 there are 85 objective test questions. The exams are on demand and can be sat at any time at a Pearson Vue exam centre or at home via the Online Exam option.
Objective Tests are computer marked, so as soon as you complete your exam a result of "Pass" or "Fail" will be provided at your assessment centre.
